Youth Education
 4th graders receive their Bibles.
| Worship |
| Children worship in the sanctuary with their parents through the Children's Message, after which they go, with their teachers, to their church school classrooms. |
| Children's Choir |
| All children who can read are invited to Children's Choir. Rehearsals are Tuesdays, 3:30-4:45. The Children's Choir sings in worship once a month. |
| Church School |
|
Children are grouped by age for church school. Classes are divided as follows: 3-4 year olds, K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8. Each grade level is team-taught by adults and assistants. We use the Seasons of the Spirit curriculum, based on the common lectionary. For information about church school, please call Associate Pastor Shayna Appel (643-3150) .

| Confirmation |
|
Confirmation classes begin in January for those in 8th grade or above. The program continues through the first half of 9th grade. Confirmation is taught by Associate Pastor Shayna Appel. Each confirmand has an adult mentor from the congregation for study, reflection, and support. For more information contact Shayna Appel. |
| Inter-Generational Events |
| Throughout the year, we plan events to bring children and adults together. The first of these is Prepare the Way, an Advent workshop on December 14th, preparing the sanctuary for Christmas. Other events: February Follies and Storytellers’ Night! |
| Middle School |
|
Activities for Middle Schoolers (grades 6 through 8) are planned throughout the year, including apple picking, CROP walk, and serving community dinners. For more information or to volunteer to drive, contact Shayna Appe l.at 643-3150. |
| High School |
|
Our High School Group, grades 9-12, meets throughout the year. Activities include food, fellowship and service projects. For more information, contact Shayna Appel.. |

Are you the parent of young children and never seem to find time to work on your spiritual life? If so, please come join a monthly Bible study group which also allows your children to be present. This Fall, join us for after-worship forums. The first, on September 29th will be led by Rev. Ben Guess, UCC national staffperson for mission communication and education. Ben will preach and lead a forum on empowering congregations for mission. Other Sunday forums will address the relationship between religion and aging. In winter, Donna Cavedon will lead a Tuesday morning study series focused on the book The Way of Forgiveness by Marjorie Thompson. In the Spring, a study series about United Church of Christ history and polity will be led by Rev. Dr. Avery Post, past president of the United Church of Christ. |
| Film Series |

Throughout the year, we will show six movies with a common theme: the impact of religion on different aspects of society and our lives. The first in the series is on October 11 when we will show Elmer Gantry. Join us for a night at the movies! |
| Lenten Study (Annually |

On Wednesday evenings in Lent, Carla Bailey leads a book study and Ernie Drown, a study of the music of worship. A light supper precedes the classes and a service of prayer and music concludes the evenings. |
